About Amizetta Winery
Amizetta Vineyards was established in 1979 by Amizetta - a direct descendant of Pocahontas - and Spencer Clark in Northern California's Napa Valley. The winery & vineyards were developed at a 1,000 ft. elevation in the eastern hills overlooking Lake Hennessey on the southern tip of the Howell mountain range. The vineyards were planted in the early 1980s on an extremely steep, stony & porous terrain making for arduous grape growing with limited grape yields. Combined with intensive hillside water stress conditions and vast southern exposure, these vineyards have historically brought forth spectacular grapes.
Beginning with the 2002 harvest, all Amizetta Vineyards estate grapes were exclusively used in the making of Amizetta estate wines yielding wines of complexity and total structural balance, permitting superior cellar aging capability.
