SAVANNAH, GA (August 21, 2007) – The AAA Four-Diamond Mansion on Forsyth Park's state-of-the-art 700 Kitchen Cooking School unveils its spectacular holiday courses being offered this holiday season. Families, couples, and cooks alike will get into the spirit of the holiday season with Halloween pumpkin carving, preparing Christmas brunch, holiday cookie baking, holiday decorating and more. The following classes will be offered on the listed dates and times below and will fill-up quickly, so be sure to book your class early!

 

Halloween “Hoo-Ha”
Capture the spirit of Halloween at 700 Kitchen Cooking School as Chef Darin shares his tricks for homemade treats. Attendees will enjoy pumpkin carving, spiced cider and many more devilish delights! This class is being offered October 27-31st from 7-9 p.m. Cost is $50.00 per parent/child couple, $20 each additional child.

 

Holiday Open House
Shopping, cooking, decorating, family get-togethers…who has time to entertain during the holidays?  A holiday open house is the perfect opportunity to entertain large numbers of guests and show off your holiday home without the stress and trouble of a sit-down meal. 700 Kitchen Cooking School will share popular recipes and tabletop ideas to enhance your holiday entertaining! This class is being offered Saturday, December 1 and Saturday, December 8 at 10 a.m. and is $90.00 per person.

 

Christmas Brunch
Prepare a delicious Christmas Brunch that you can use for entertaining holiday houseguests or simply reconnect with your neighbors and friends! The class is offered on Saturday, December 15 & 22 from 10 a.m. -1 p.m. This class is $90 per person. 

 

Holiday Cookies
Get in the Christmas spirit as we share favorite recipes, tips, and techniques that will minimize
the mayhem of your annual cookie baking marathon! The class is offered on Saturday December 1 at 3:00 p.m. and is $90.00 per person.

 

Yule Logs and Holiday Lore…
Add a new tradition to your holiday celebrations as attendees learn how to prepare the traditional French “Bûche de Nöel” or Yule Log cake.  In addition to making your own cake to take home, you’ll discover the history behind the tradition of yule logs and mistletoe. Class is offered Thursday, December 13 at 7:00 p.m. Cost is $90.00 per person.

 

Kids' Cookie Baking
Enjoy family time in the kitchen and leave the clean-up to us! Sip hot cocoa and spiced cider as you and your child decorate Gingerbread house plaques, make chocolate pretzel cookies and peanut butter balls. The class is being held on the following days/times: Wednesday, Dec. 12 & 19 from 7 - 8:30 p.m.; and Friday, December 7 & 14 from 7 - 8:30 p.m. Cost for Kids' Cookie Baking is $50.00 per parent/child couple and $15.00 per additional child.

Located in the original 1888 mansion, adjacent to Mansion on Forsyth Park, the 700 Kitchen Cooking School features two flat-screen LCD monitors for enhanced viewing and seating for up to 20 people. Chef Darin Sehnert leads the daily culinary experiences in the teaching kitchen which features state-of-the-art KitchenAid, Wolf, and Sub-Zero brand appliances.
